The Valencian Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJEV) hosted a work breakfast on European funding for innovative SME. Representatives of AJEV, Fundación Equipo Humano and FyG Consultores presented some keys for SMEs with innovative business models to access EU funding reaching 50.000€.
AJEV, Fundación Equipo Humano and FyG Consultores representatives explained at the Valencia Ateneo Mercantil (trade centre) the centrepieces of current European SME funding policies at the Valencia Young Entrepreneurs work breakfast. Speakers dissected programmes on education and training like Erasmus+, on innovative SME growth with European and global projection like Horizon 2020, as well as some of the projects in which AJEV is currently participating under the programme Erasmus for Entrepreneurs.
One of the points of attention among participants was the possibility of accessing 50.000€ investment for undertaking feasibility studies for business models under the SME Instrument of Horizon 2020. This programme represents a golden opportunity for SMEs with international ambitions and innovative ideas, while showing how far the EU conceives SMEs as the true economic engine of territories. Successful applicants will be enabled to develop market studies or risk analysis during 6 months in order to determine whether their innovative business model idea is feasible from a technical and commercial perspective. Beyond financial investment, speakers underlined the advantages of business coaching services delivered by the European Commission. After the talk, entrepreneurs formulated their queries, in an attempt to identify suitable Project ideas matching both the presented call and their business objectives, and some tips for success.
During the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme presentation, AJEV and Fundación Equipo Humano encouraged participating enterprises to host within their teams a young European entrepreneur for a period between 1 and 6 months. Therefore, a host entrepreneur may benefit from new ideas and capacities, reach new markets and increase their international contacts without leaving the office. These two entities are contact points among young entrepreneurs and host entrepreneurs in Valencia
