«LEARN: TOWARDS A HOLISTIC TRANSFORMATION OF ORGANISATIONS INTO LEARNING WORKPLACES».
LEARN is a policy reform support project (Erasmus+, Key Action 3) coordinated by Cyprus. The project aims to develop a set of activities, processes and tools for the transformation of an organisation into a place of learning.
Duration: 36 months (02/2020 – 01/2023).
OVERALL OBJECTIVE
LEARN aims to develop a systematic strategic approach for the transformation of organisations into lifelong learning centres through the design and development of an ISO certification, thanks to which organisations committed to workplace learning can be certified. In order to obtain this certification, organisations must carry out activities or use specific tools included in the certification scheme. These activities take into account important issues described in the «building blocks» identified by the European Commission’s Education and Training 2020 Task Force on Adult Learning.
Furthermore, they take into account both the learning needs of employers (linked to the strategic objectives of organisations) and the needs of employees in terms of different forms of learning (development of transversal competences, etc.).
Certification will provide organisations with additional motivation for their transformation into Lifelong Learning Workplaces.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To develop an ISO certification for organisations that become Lifelong Learning Workplaces.
- Identify/design the activities that an organisation must undertake to become a Learning Workplace and include them in the certification scheme. Ensure that these activities respond to both the needs of the organisations and the needs of the employees.
- Develop, through specialised workshops, a positive attitude between organisations and employees, so that both parties support the learning process in the workplace.
- Focus on the development of transversal skills in the workplace, initially through classroom learning (basic development) and then through the implementation of other training activities.
- Validate the development of transversal key competences through the use of an assessment tool (ISO17024).
- Develop a network of consultants who will act as ambassadors of the project and lead the organisations to their transformation into Lifelong Learning Workplaces.
