The Circular HRM project was approved in July 2019 in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme under key action 2 Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices.
The project supports the transition of European SMEs of the eco industry sector from a traditional, linear HRM model, to a circular HRM model that enhances the regeneration of skills and competences at workplace and favors circular and sustainable businesses and organizational models.
In addition, Circular HRM will provide up-skilling opportunities for HR managers of SMEs of the eco sector, tackling the cross-national issue of skills mismatches and ageing workforce through the development of circular HRM training. HR’s circular practices will have a positive impact on:
- EU SMEs: avoid the risk of skills mismatches
- EU market: Creating jobs without redundancies the human capital already present
- EU economy and environment: For the sustainable development of companies and eco-companies.
OBJECTIVES
The project’s main objective is to develop training modules that help SMEs in emerging circular economy sectors to integrate resource and people management practices specific to their sector. These online training courses will address:
- New Human Resource Management Models for companies in the Circular Economy sector, in particular for HR managers.
- Develop tools that support the transition of European SMEs to implement «Circular» HR Models that focus on the competences and skills of the sustainable economy.
Moreover, the specific objectives of Circular HRM are the following:
- Bringing together the set of skills, competences and knowledge needed to achieve a Circular Enterprise Model (CEM).
- Professional development of VET teachers and trainers through innovative tools.
- Develop up-to-date and innovative training for professionals, HR managers and SME managers.
- Shift towards a more circular and competitive business model.
- Empower people to shift their companies and future businesses towards a circular economy management model.
- Improve entrepreneurship in the circular economy sector.
- Accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
- Encourage the shift towards circular business models in workplaces through better human resource management.
